Wisdom Wednesday #6

It’s easy to spot your own flaws in others, but harder to look in the mirror.

I once heard someone say that when you point your judging finger at others, you actually point three fingers at yourself.

We always see in others what we lack ourselves – even our bad habits, if you will. You know your own flaws and they probably irritate you as well in one way or another (consciously or subconsciously), and therefore you cannot help but see them in others.

So maybe cut the people around you some slack today, because what if you’re just blaming them for your own defects and failures? That’s not very nice, is it?

You’re better off trying to improve yourself and let others deal with their own flaws and imperfections. Because none of us are perfect and never will be, but we’re all in this learning process together.

Be kind. Be the best you that you can be, and let others try to do the same. A compliment goes so much further than criticism does, anyway.

Endless love,
